Senior Owen Lansu led the DGN football team to a 7-2 record after missing four games with an injury. Lansu’s return came in a 41-28 win over York High School Oct. 10. Lansu praises the team’s development this year.
Suffering an injury to the starting quarterback, along with facing other good programs, DGN has maintained a gritty mindset.
“We have definitely improved on and off the field, we have faced a lot of adversity more than any other year,” Lansu said.
Going into a game, preparation is vital to team success. Coach Joseph Horeni credits Lansu for his work ethic.
“He’s a terrific player. A great arm, great awareness as a quarterback,” Horeni said. “People don’t see the type of leader he is.”
Going into the playoffs, Lansu plans to continue to lead the offense and sling touchdown passes, as DGN tries to advance as far as possible.
