Junior Harrison Konder displayed dominance all year for the Trojan’s wrestling team. Competing in the 152 pound weight-class, Konder posted a 40-4 record in his junior campaign, bringing his record to 103-13 overall.

All winter, Konder put in consecutive hours on the mat and in the weight room to improve his strength and technique.

“This year I decided not to cut weight and focus on the details and really narrow down my style,” Konder said.

Konder became one of eight wrestlers in the program to qualify for the regional meet, and one of two to qualify for the state meet on Feb 17-18.

He credits much of his success this year to his teammates and coaches.

“My coaches and teammates always supported me and I’m grateful for that,” Konder said.

At state, Konder took home fifth place in his weight-class. He made history by becoming the only DGN wrestler ever to make all-state three times.

“It was a good season and I’m thanful for all of the seniors. I just want to learn from my losses and work to bring home a state title next year,” Konder said.
