MTV aired a thrilling teen drama this summer titled Finding Carter, the story of a teenage girl who discovers that her mother is not actually her mother.
Free full episodes of the first season can be found on MTV.com, and due to the unpredictability of each episode, it will definitely you begging for more after each epidsode’s climaxes.
Carter (Kathryn Prescott) is a very relatable main character. Her character traits are compatible with the common teenage viewer and leaves the audience feeling personally connected to her story. Throughout the entire season, the characters managed to make it possible for the viewer to feel every emotion that a teenager could feel despite the fact that it is just a TV show.
MTV really stepped up its game this summer. Finding Carter does not compare to shows such as 16 & Pregnant or True Life that the channel is commonly known for.
The show manages to keep everything current through the fashion of the characters, songs played during the show, and common issues that a teenager would face. Although some of the acting may not be Oscar worthy (as expected from MTV), characters are still endearing to the audience.
Be prepared for a binge. Finding Carter plans to air their second season in 2015.
