The combined girls’ varsity lacrosse team consisting of players from DGN and DGS announced a new head coach.

Christian Pilapil is a health and PE teacher at DGN and DGS. He has been a trained lacrosse coach since 2012.

Pilapil previously coached girl’s lacrosse at Glenbard South High School before joining the DG team.

Pliapil’s specialized coaching style includes player development and an emphasis on academics.

“I value the individual growth and team development process very highly. When we come in every practice with a purpose and determination to be better than the previous day, that leadership mentality is contagious,” Pilapal said.

Pilapil has high expectations for the. 

“For the upcoming season, I am most excited about developing a program culture where student-athletes from both high schools know they will have opportunities to contribute and develop leadership skills in every area of the field,” Pilapil said.
