The football team has had an impressive season so far this fall. A major reason for their continued success is senior Noah Battle. For the past three years, Battle has played a crucial role on the varsity football team. Although Battle’s main position is running back, you might catch him lined up as a safety, receiver, or kick/punt returner.
Battle has been playing since third grade and plans on pursuing football in college.
“I’ve been talking to multiple schools about playing at the next level. That is the goal no matter where I go”, Battle said.
One of Battle’s most memorable performances this season was in the cross-town classic match. At halftime, the score was 7-6, with DGN one point ahead. However, that changed in the second half when Battle scored three of his career-high four touchdowns, securing a 35-13 win against the rival Mustangs.
When asked his proudest moment so far, Battle didn’t mention a game. Instead, he talked about his teammates. “I am most proud of how close our team has gotten… We are one big family and have each other’s backs through anything”.
Battle and his team hope to shock the state and make a name for DGN in the upcoming playoffs later this month.
